We’re thrilled to officially announce the launch of Big Mouth Theatre, Fareham and we couldn’t imagine a better person to be leading it.

Our Fareham branch owner, Kim, has been part of the Big Mouth Theatre family for over eight years. During that time, she’s worn many hats – coach, manager, mentor – and has seen first-hand the powerful impact drama can have when it’s delivered in a non-competitive, supportive environment. It’s safe to say… she loved it so much, she decided she wanted to own her very own Big Mouth.

“After working as both a coach and a manager with Big Mouth Theatre for the past eight years, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful its ethos truly is. The commitment to a non-competitive, supportive environment aligns deeply with my own values and the way I believe children learn and thrive.”

Now running After School Drama Clubs in schools in and around Fareham, Hampshire, alongside a popular Weekend Theatre Programme at Brookfield School, Kim and her brilliant team are helping young people believe in themselves through drama – one playful, confidence-boosting session at a time.

“I’ve watched countless young people grow in confidence, creativity and self-expression when they are given space to explore without pressure, and it’s reinforced my passion for this approach year after year.”

Starting a business can feel daunting, but Kim credits the Big Mouth Theatre franchise model with giving her the clarity and confidence to get going.

“The franchise model gave me a level of confidence and clarity that I wouldn’t have had starting out on my own. From the structured framework to the ongoing mentorship, I was able to hit the ground running knowing I had a knowledgeable team behind me every step of the way.”

And the impact? It’s felt not just by the children, but by their families too.

“I’ve seen children grow in confidence, communication and creativity, often even surprising their own families with how much they blossom. What stands out most is the sense of belonging and joy – knowing their children have a safe, encouraging space where they can truly be themselves.”

We’re incredibly proud to see Big Mouth Theatre growing in Fareham under Kim’s leadership, and even prouder of the many young people already finding their voice, confidence and creativity through her sessions.
